Contents and sowing tips for the plant set:
Strawberry:
This variety of strawberry is really nice with flowers in both white and pink. The flowers then develop into beautiful large red berries. You can continuously harvest all the way into the fall.
The plant becomes bushy and produces runners, which can be taken as cuttings to plant new and more strawberry plants.
The strawberry plant is suitable for both open ground and pots. Also suitable for hanging pots, where the strawberries can hang down from.
Sowing Strawberries:
Moisten the soil before sowing and keep the soil moist while the seeds germinate.
Place the seeds on the surface and let them light germinate, as it is called when the seeds are only placed on the surface.
You may want to cover your sprouting pot with plastic or place it in a mini greenhouse, so it can retain moisture more easily, and the seed does not dry out as easily, now that it lies on the surface.
Preferably germinates at 15-18 degrees Celsius. When your little new plant has 4-5 leaves, it can be replanted and placed in a brighter and cooler location. Do not plant outside until the risk of frost has passed.
Chili:
This is a mild and sweet chili that turns beautifully red. The chili can be harvested before it turns red, making it even milder. The longer the chili is allowed to mature, the stronger it becomes.
The chili can be used in all kinds of cooking both fresh and dried, and can be frozen for later use.
Sowing Chili:
Moisten the soil before sowing and keep the soil moist while the seeds germinate.
These seeds need warmth to germinate, preferably 20-22 degrees Celsius. If your seeds do not sprout, try placing them somewhere warmer than where they are, possibly above a radiator. However, remember to check that the soil does not dry out.
When your small plants emerge, you can place them in a brighter and cooler location.
When the plant is about 10 cm, you can replant them so they each have their own pot.
The chili should not be planted outside until it is a bit warmer, and the soil is at least 8 degrees Celsius at night.
A chili plant like this can also be grown indoors during winter. Here, however, it requires a grow light, for example in your desk lamp.
Red Cress:
A beautiful red and edible flower. The plant has a low but wide growth. Provides beautiful color and life to gardens and pots. The flowers can be eaten in salads or used as decoration on desserts.
Sowing Red Cress:
Moisten the soil before sowing and keep the soil moist while the seeds germinate, and let the seeds soak for a day before sowing.
Can be pre-grown about 6-8 weeks before they are to be planted outside. Plant preferably 1-2 seeds per pot at a depth of 2 cm. Germinates at room temperature. When the plants emerge, they can be placed in a brighter and cooler location.
Should not be planted outside before the risk of frost has passed.
Can also be sown directly in the soil in the garden or in outdoor pots after the risk of frost has passed.
